Entain
Advising Entain plc on its negotiation of a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) relating to alleged offences under Section 7 of the Bribery Act 2010 and, in particular, a failure by the Company to have adequate procedures in place to prevent bribery in relation to its legacy Turkish-facing business, sold in 2017. It is the first time the CPS has resolved an investigation with a DPA.

A significant victory in the Court of Appeal for our client, Soteria Insurance Limited (formerly CIS General Insurance Limited) against IBM in a failed technology transformation project, resulting in a judgment of £80.5m plus interest and costs. We also defeated IBM's attempt to appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.
Therium
Acting for the litigation funder, Therium, in its dispute with Bugsby concerning the enforceability of a litigation funding agreement following the Supreme Court decision in PACCAR, including obtaining an asset preservation order over £27m.
GlaxoSmithKline
Significant Court of Appeal victory for our client, GlaxoSmithKline, in defending a large product liability group action in respect of their use of a prescription-only anti-depressant drug, Seroxat.
The Road Haulage Association
Acting for The Road Haulage Association, alongside Backhouse Jones, in an opt-in class action seeking to represent more than 17,000 class members and over £1bn in damages.
HS2
Successfully defended HS2 at trial in a public procurement challenge against the awarding of the £1.3bn contract for its Construction Partner for the development of Old Oak Common Station.
Global Bank
Acting for a global Bank on enforcement of a US $75m debt, including actions to enforce bounced cheques, mortgages, rental assignment rights and advising on various recovery options in the DIFC Courts, UAE Courts and UK Courts.
British International Investment plc
Defending British International Investment plc in a $200m+ Commercial Court claim brought by Crane Bank Limited and a number of its former shareholders.
