Our Edinburgh session will continue this series and focus on the following themes:
1. Taking a focused look at the Scottish Market
We will be taking a look at the challenges and opportunities around PFI expiry, where we will be joined by guest speakers Scottish Futures Trust and Archus.
2. Managing relationships
Further to the recent publication of the Behavioural Report, we turn our attention to understanding what best practice looks like and how to maintain good relationships. We will be joined by Barry White, Co-Author of the Behavioural Report, who will be able to give us an insight into recent findings and the feedback that he has received to date.
3. Disputes
Noting the complexity around Handback, disputes are starting to materialise in the Scottish market, with some key themes emerging. Leading KC and adjudicator, Robert Howie KC will join us to give us his views as to what issues are driving disputes and how you can prepare to navigate / avoid them. Our team will also be sharing their thoughts on the recently proposed Cladding Remediation Bill and implications of the adoption of a new Building Safety Levy.
4. Liabilities
Following on from our previous Handback events, we will be examining how to manage liability on expiry and exit in the context of Handback, where we will be joined by Addleshaw Goddard's restructuring specialist Jamie McIntosh, who will be able to give some advice on navigating this complex area.
Athough there is a Scottish flavour to this event, much of what we will be discussing will also be relevant UK wide.
