Join us for a conversation with Femi Otitoju, Founder and Managing Director of Challenge Consultancy.
Femi was born in Nigeria and spent her early years in Sussex before going to school in Hackney. Femi came out as a lesbian in the late 1970s and volunteered for the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard for over 13 years in the 70s and 80s. During her time on the Switchboard she lead its training group and was also its Chair for two years. Since then Femi has continued to be a pioneer of inclusion, campaigning for the rights of underrepresented groups across the globe. After two years as an officer in the UK's first Local Government Lesbian and Gay Unit, she founded Challenge Consultancy to support organisations on their inclusion journey.
On 15th February Femi joins us to commemorate LGBTQ+ history month and talk about her lived experience working on the Lesbian and Gay Switchboard, about the changes that she has seen across LGTBQ+ inclusion and the challenges that the community still face.
This event will be hosted by representatives from OpenAG (our LGBTQ+ network) and AG Embrace (our race and ethnicity network.)
