The Irish Government has announced that anyone travelling to Ireland form Great Britain or South Africa must be able to produce a negative Covid-19 PCR test result from a test taken within the 72 hours before arrival.
This measure is to come into effect on 9 January 2021. Anyone arriving after the implementation of this measure will also be required to self-isolate for 14 days after arrival.
The current moratorium on travel to Ireland from Great Britain and South Africa, which has been in effect since 20 December 2020, is to be extended until midnight on 8 January 2021.
