Leading international law firm Addleshaw Goddard has hired former TLT Deputy Head of Retail, Daniel Sweeney, as a Partner within its Manchester team.

He is recognised as an expert in advising retail and consumer businesses, with a particular focus on portfolio development and structuring. 

Daniel's practice at TLT focused on launching the firm's Manchester office in 2013 and growing a 130-person team. His work involved advising and acting as client-relationship lead for some of the UK's largest retailers.

AG has advised on several landmark property deals in the North West over the last several months, including the sale of a £425.6m stake in MediaCity by Legal & General and Peel L&P.

The firm's Retail and Consumer team has been ranked "Band 1" in Chambers for the past seven years and represents some of the largest and most well-known brands in the sector, from leading grocers, fashion, sports and electronics retailers, pharmacies, betting shops and online retailers to food and beverage and leisure businesses. 

AG has recently recruited a string of new partners including Ian Le Pelley (IPE) and Matthew Williams (IPE) and Jacqueline Heng (Green Finance).
