In this 4 part event series we will explore some of the key trends shaping the Retail and Consumer Landscape.
The last few years have seen significant changes in the retail and consumer sector as businesses try and keep pace with fast-evolving consumer expectations and market trends. For our clients, the ability to respond to these opportunities and challenges efficiently and strategically is critical in building and maintaining a competitive advantage.
PART 1: DESTINATION DATA UK: SECURING THE FUTURE OF DIGITAL RETAIL
Our first Creating Conversions event focussed on the power of data. We heard from Richard Lim of Retail Economics, Sam Jones of Gener8 Ads, Helena Brown, Head of Data at AG, and hosted by our Head of Digital Retail, Ross McKenzie.
This session dug deep into the digital retail landscape and the role of the High Street, reforms to data protection laws in the UK to attract digital businesses, and how Gener8 looks to turn upside down the way in which adverts are served online by generating revenue for consenting consumers. Lots to think about in a fast-moving space.
DESTINATION DATA UK
DCMS Consultation: Data - A New Direction
The DCMS consultation details a number of changes to the UK’s data protection framework under the guise of ensuring organisations’ handling of data is more efficient, flexible and pro-innovation.
The overall aim is to render the UK a leader in digital trade and the world’s most attractive data marketplace. But what are the broad areas of change proposed that we think will impact digital retailers?
