Addleshaw Goddard has advised on the sale of the ES Group, a UK firm of Property and Asset Consultants, to Lambert Smith Hampton (part of the Countrywide Group) for an undisclosed sum.

ES Group is a market leader in providing valuation and corporate recovery advice to banks and accountancy firms and is also at the forefront of the fast-growing alternatives market, particularly in hotels, healthcare and education.

The deal, which completed on 10th March, was led by Addleshaw Goddard corporate partner Jon Cheney, who was supported by Associates Zulon Begum and Tim Trueman, with Andrew Martin advising on real estate issues.

Commenting on the deal, Jon said: "We are delighted to have advised ES Group on this strategic move, which is consistent with recent consolidation in the sector, and which gives the combined business an excellent presence in every major UK region. The structure of the ES Group made the deal particularly interesting to work on, consisting of partnership, LLP and limited company vehicles."
