Addleshaw Goddard's specialist Payments team has advised on the sale of Smart Card Software Limited to Rambus Inc, a California based Technology Licensing Company.

Smart Card Software includes Bell ID the mobile payment and tokenisation specialists alongside ECEBS the smart ticketing company.

Will James, Head of Payments at AG lead the transaction for the sellers and commented: "Mobile Payments, smart ticketing and payment security are at the top of the digital agenda for a large number of companies at the moment".

Rambus Inc. was advised by Slaughter and May where the team was lead by John Papanichola assisted by Adrian Amer and Srijanee Bhattacharyya.
