Addleshaw Goddard's Manchester Banking team is starting 2016 with an optimistic outlook for the North West corporate finance market, following an exceptional 12 months during which they advised on over £3bn worth of transactions, including the most significant and high-profile debt and asset based lending transactions in the region.
The 33 strong team's North West clients included MoneySuperMarket.com, PZ Cussons, The Hut Group, The Peel Group, Bruntwood, Assura, Radius Payment Solutions and Fircroft. They also acted for funders on banking facilities made available to EuroGarages, Lookers, On The Beach, Innospec, Pure Leisure and Brammer.
2015 also saw the team expand with the addition of seven new solicitors, as well as the promotion of Natalie Hewitt to Managing Associate, following on from the arrival of Katie Ridehalgh from Pinsent Masons as a Partner earlier in the year.
Martin O'Shea, Partner at AG stated: "2015 was a fantastic year for the team, advising on many of the key transactions in the North West market. Having the largest banking team in the North West, gives us the strength in depth and breadth of expertise, to be able to work on these high profile deals and attract the best talent.
With 2015 seeing a marked increase in corporate M&A activity and the continued appetite from lenders to provide debt packages, we are expecting 2016 to be another successful year for us."
