Addleshaw Goddard has reinforced its position as a leading public M&A firm, advising funds managed by DBAY Advisors ("DBAY") on its acquisition of professional recruitment consultancy, Harvey Nash Group plc, which announced today, 7 August 2018.
Led by corporate partner Simon Wood with support from Louise Pritchard and Lauren Scott, this is the fourth public takeover deal that the firm has advised on this year – in addition to GVC Holdings plc's £3.9bn takeover of Ladbrokes Coral, Artilium Plc's $104.7m acquisition by Pareteum Corporation, and Kerridge Commercial Systems' takeover of Electronic Data Processing.
The AG team has an enviable list of ex Takeover panel secondees, more than any other law firm in the City, including Simon Wood (who returned from a two year stint as Secretary in October last year), senior partner Charles Penney and corporate partner Giles Distin.
Simon Wood, commenting on today's announcement, said: "AIM continues to attract bidders looking for flexible investments to generate further growth and, despite market uncertainty and talks of a recent slowdown, we can only see this continuing. We are really proud of the work our team does in this area, and we are fortunate to be able to draw on the unrivalled experience of four ex-Takeover Panel secondees, which gives us the ability to deliver cutting edge M&A transaction advice to our clients."
