Addleshaw Goddard has advised StoneX on its acquisition of Dublin-based fintech firm Chasing Returns.
Nasdaq-listed StoneX has integrated Chasing Returns’ software into its Forex.com and City Index trading platforms for several years.
The AG team was led by Corporate partner Ben Koehne and Legal Director James Woodward and included Incentives partner Jonathan Fletcher Rogers and Tax partner Charlotte Fallon. Byrne Wallace LLP provided local Irish law advice to StoneX.
Chasing Returns, founded in Dublin in 2014, offers a range of behavioural science-based software products to help retail and institutional traders manage trading risk. StoneX plans to use the acquisition to develop further innovative products for its customers.
Ben Koehne said: "AG is committed to helping our clients make a real impact through imagination and innovation. We are delighted to have been able to use our expertise to support StoneX in teaming up with an agile fintech that uses cutting-edge behavioural science-based technology to support StoneX’s customers’ trading activities and opens the door to other innovative product developments."
