PROMOTION OF NINE NEW PARTNERS, TAKING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF PARTNERS TO 290
Just under half (45%) of those promoted are women, with the majority of the appointments (five) in the firm's Corporate and Commercial practice. Welcoming the new Partners, Charles Penney, Addleshaw Goddard Senior Partner, said:
“I believe passionately in our Firm being a place where talented people can flourish and where everyone is encouraged and supported to reach their full potential. All of our new Partners are already well respected in their own respective specialist fields and we congratulate them all on their very well-deserved promotions. We are committed to driving forward our gender equality ambitions and I am very pleased to report that over the course of the last five years we have been steadily moving closer to the 32% target which we have set ourselves for female representation in the Partnership by 2023."
Addleshaw Goddard's female Partner population has increased over the last decade and stands at 28% of the total. In the last 18 months, in order to increase the number of female Equity Partners, the Firm has been piloting a Female Sponsorship Programme, to support female progression within the Partnership by providing a platform for senior sponsors to support and advocate for women.
