Our commitment to driving down emissions through introducing greener dispute resolution practices.
Addleshaw Goddard has committed to reducing the environmental impact of its dispute resolution practice by becoming a founding member of the Greener Litigation Pledge.
Alongside other leading legal firms, we have made a pledge to take steps to reduce the environmental impact of our disputes and drive down carbon emissions, including through limiting the production of printed documents and engaging with the courts to support changes to rules, procedures and practices.
The Greener Litigation Pledge, launched on 28 June 2021, calls for members to recognise the importance of restricting global warming to 1.5°C, and commit to taking active steps to reducing their carbon footprint whilst 'always maintaining and promoting the highest standards of justice and client service'.
Founding members of the Greener Litigation Pledge include Mishcon De Reya, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, HFW and Simmons & Simmons.
