International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised the shareholders of leading UK-based EV charging design and installation business Envevo on an investment from TowerBrook Capital Partners, a London and New York-based private investment firm.

Envevo is a fast-growing business focused on the design and installation of EV charging points in B2B settings. The company’s capabilities cover the full project lifecycle from conception and design to construction and project management, providing turnkey engineering solutions to operators of forecourts and motorway services, private settings such as hotels and car parks, and other customers including fleet depots.

Addleshaw Goddard has advised Glasgow-based Envevo since the company was formed in 2019. The team advising on the deal included Sarah Dick, Chris England, Kirsty Curran and Rachel Fisher alongside partners Arran Mackenzie and Alan Shanks.

Addleshaw Goddard's Head of Scotland, Alan Shanks, said: "Having worked closely with them from day one, it was a pleasure to advise Michael Kennedy, Bobby McDonald, Jeff Reynolds and the wider team at Envevo on this strategically important deal. The growth of the business has been hugely impressive over the past four years and we know from our experience advising in the EV sector that there are huge opportunities as the energy transition gathers pace."

Michael Kennedy, CEO of Envevo, said: “Addleshaw Goddard has been a supportive partner to Envevo since the very beginning and the support and guidance that the team have provided us with on this transaction has been truly invaluable."
