The German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche has recognised Addleshaw Goddard as one of the top law firms for mergers and acquisitions. In addition, partners Eckart Budelmann and Dr Hubertus Schröder are again among the most renowned lawyers in this area of law.

Eckart Budelmann advises both listed and non-listed buyers and sellers in national and international M&A transactions. He also provides advice in general corporate law issues and represents clients in shareholder disputes in court.

Dr Hubertus Schröder advises on all aspects of corporate/M&A matters and in distressed situations. He has extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, corporate restructurings, carve-outs and joint ventures.

The selection of the top lawyers and law firms for M&A was based on a comprehensive survey conducted by the Handelsblatt Research Institute, in which over 5200 lawyers from 246 law firms nominated their most renowned colleagues. An expert jury, consisting of representatives from well-known companies and specialised media such as Bosch, C.H. Beck, RWE, Thyssenkrupp and ZF Friedrichshafen, finally selected 53 law firms with 93 highly recommended lawyers. The full results of the survey can be viewed here.
