Addleshaw Goddard Ireland has announced it will move to a new office premises at Fitzwilliam No.28 in January 2025. The international law firm announced earlier this year that revenue at its Dublin office has increased by 45% over the past two years.    

Over the same time period, Addleshaw Goddard Ireland has increased headcount by over 20% with 143 staff currently at the firm and it is targeting a further 10-15% growth in headcount in 2024. The move to Fitzwilliam No.28 will enable the firm to accommodate over 220 people across the 27,722 sq. ft. footprint – a 42% increase on their current office space at Temple Chambers on Burlington Road. The move demonstrates Addleshaw Goddard’s ambition to continue to grow the Dublin office into the future. 

Located on Dublin’s Georgian mile, Fitzwilliam No.28 is a modern near zero energy building with strong eco credentials. Addleshaw Goddard Ireland will take over an entire floor along with a portion of a second floor in the 14-year lease signed with SMBC Aviation Capital. SMBC acquired the lease for the entire footprint of Fitzwilliam No.28 in late 2022. It is anticipated that the Addleshaw Goddard team will be on site from January 2025. 

Growth at the firm has been driven by strong performance in the Corporate practice and the addition in the past 12 months of new Tax, Financial Regulation and Energy practices. Its Commercial Property practice offset a market downturn with strong activity across retail, housing and investor deals. Access to Addleshaw Goddard’s international network has resulted in significant new business referrals, particularly from the UK.
