Addleshaw Goddard advises Horwich Farrelly on investment from CBPE
International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised HF, a leading legal advisor in the insurance and commercial sectors, on a significant investment from UK mid-market Private equity house CBPE.
The investment, which is subject to regulatory approval, is intended to accelerate the next stage of growth for HF. CBPE will acquire a minority stake in HF as it establishes the company as the leading technology-driven legal services provider to insurance companies and corporates.
The investment follows a string of high-profile deals in the professional services sector. Addleshaw Goddard's market leading Private Equity and Professional Practices Groups have successfully advised on a series of significant transactions within the sector, including the secondary buyout of Cooper Parry announced last week. This transaction underscores the firm's leading position in the market, particularly in a period where private equity interest in professonal practices has reached unprecedented levels.
The Addleshaw Goddard team advising on the deal included Katie Parker and Beth Nixon from the Private Equity Group, together with Jon Cheney and Benedict Sanderson from the Professional Practices Group.
