International law firm Addleshaw Goddard LLP has advised Saturn Resources Ltd (Saturn), on its recommended £156m cash acquisition of Shanta Gold Limited, an East Africa-focused gold producer, developer and explorer, which completed on 10 May 2024.

The Addleshaw Goddard team was led by Giles Distin and Faye Wiles, supported by Louise Pritchard, Jeremy Cruse, and Ciara Hennessey. Kyle Johnson, Francesca Seber and Paul Denham advised on financing and derivatives matters, and Rona Bar-Isaac led on antitrust. Saturn was supported by Berenberg as sole financial adviser, and by Mourant on Guernsey-specific elements of the transaction.
