Addleshaw Goddard becomes first Official Legal Partner of RHS Chelsea Flower Show
International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has entered into a three-year partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), becoming the first Official Legal Partner of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The partnership will support the creation of a prestigious garden and highlight the firm's commitment to responsible business and community support.
Commenting on the landmark collaboration, Sarah Egbu, Addleshaw Goddard's Head of London Office, said:
"We are so excited to partner with the Royal Horticultural Society and to become the first Official Legal Partner of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, one of the most prestigious events each year in London and indeed the world. The incredible work done by the RHS aligns both to our business objectives and charitable purpose – helping our clients and people to flourish.
"Along with providing a unique platform for client engagement, this partnership reflects our commitment to responsible business and, in particular, to unlocking young potential. Our investment will be supporting charitable initiatives including the RHS Campaign for School Gardening and a community outreach programme focussed on urban gardening. Each year, we will relocate our sponsored garden after the Show to benefit a worthy cause, as we did this year."
James Wren, Director of Development & Corporate Partnerships, RHS, said:
“The positive impact of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is truly global. It represents horticultural excellence, bringing joy to everyone that witnesses the creativity and positive benefits gardening can bring to the world - building heathier lives, stronger communities and thriving environments. We are delighted to welcome Addleshaw Goddard as official legal partner of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, supporting us as a charity and demonstrating leadership and commitment to helping people flourish."
At the RHS Chelsea Flower show 2024, the Addleshaw Goddard Junglette Garden, designed by Mike McMahon and Jewlsy Matthews, was the gold medal winner of the Balcony Garden category, and was subsequently donated to a youth homeless charity in Scotland.
Unlocking Young Potential is at the heart of Addleshaw Goddard's CSR strategy. The firm has run more than 40 youth-focussed community initiatives to date.
