Addleshaw Goddard accompanies Octopus Energy on its way to becoming the No. 1 heat pump installer

Addleshaw Goddard has advised Octopus Energy on the expansion of its heat pump business through the acquisition of Daulto GmbH. Founded in 2023, Heidelberg-based start-up Daulto has already installed 2,000 heat pumps and today has a team of 130 experienced employees.

The joint objective of Octopus Energy and Daulto is to become the market leader in the heat pump business in Germany. In doing so, Octopus Energy will not only accelerate the heat transition but will also focus on high service quality and customer satisfaction as well as technological expertise. Heat pump specialist Daulto becomes part of Octopus Energy's installation division.

Lucas Zoller (Legal Lead) led the transaction in-house at Octopus Energy.
