International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has advised Müller UK & Ireland on its acquisition of Biotiful Gut Health, the leading kefir brand in the UK which produces a wide range of natural gut health products.

The Addleshaw Goddard team advising on the deal included Duncan Wilson, Paul Medlicott, Eleanor Chatterton, and Matthew Campbell, who worked in collaboration with the Müller legal team.

Founded in 2012, Biotiful Gut Health is an award winning business and the acquisition will allow Müller to expand into the growing functional health yogurt and drinks segment, with awareness of the benefits of natural gut health growing.

The Biotiful Gut Health business will continue to operate as usual, with founder Natasha Bowes supporting the team in an advisory capacity and Müller Yogurts & Desserts CEO Richard Williams joining the existing leadership team to help it realise its growth ambitions.

This is the second acquisition Addleshaw Goddard has advised Müller on in the past year, following on from its acquisition of Lancashire-based Yew Tree Dairy.
