Expertise

Ellen is a Managing Associate in our Projects team who has experience advising both public and private sector clients on a wide range of transactional infrastructure and renewable energy projects. Ellen's energy experience includes CHP, electric vehicles, solar, wind and district heating and, having previously qualified into construction, she continues to advise clients on the construction documents required for their renewable projects. Ellen has completed two secondments within the legal team at a national rail infrastructure company, supporting their business. Her other recent experience includes:

• advising Muse on the negotiation of a district heating scheme extension which included complex property and investment considerations;
• being a key member of the AG team advising VW on their £multi-billion EV project with Ford as part of the wider strategic partnership between VW and Ford;
• advising Southern Water on the procurement and development of a reservoir in conjunction with Portsmouth Water;
• advising Aberdeen Standard on the installation of solar panels on their property portfolio;
• advising Flintshire County Council in relation to their bus services including in relation to a Voluntary Partnership Agreement with the regional operators;
• advising a Meter Asset Provider on both a major refinancing and acquisition of a competitors; and 
• advising commercial consumers on bulk energy supply contracts and negotiating on their behalf.
