Lucy qualified into the Global Investigation team in September 2024 as an Associate. Lucy specialises in aspects of regulatory law and compliance, in particular health and safety, building and fire safety and product safety. Lucy is regularly involved in a wide variety of matters, including: Inquests, Public Inquiries, whistleblowing investigations, responding to regulatory and police action and providing compliance advice. Lucy provides advice and support to clients over a variety of different sectors, including construction, energy and utilities, transport and retail.
Lucy has experience in advising on Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 breaches including workplace accidents and fatalities, and representing clients in Inquests touching the death of employees or persons for whom the client otherwise had a duty of care. In addition to this, Lucy has experience in advising and supporting on Equality Act 2010 claims brought in respect of service providers, operating both in the private and public sector.
Lucy also gained commercial experience while on secondment at a global alcoholic beverage company. During this time, Lucy advised a number of business stakeholders on a variety issues, including contract disputes, corporate consumer rights and changing local market requirements.

Lucy's recent experience includes:
- assisting on several sensitive Inquests;
- successfully assisting a large hospitality client settle an Equality Act 2010 claim for indirect discrimination;
- supporting a client prepare for an interview under caution;
- conducting an internal investigation for a utilities company following allegations of systemic health and safety issues;
- advising on applicable product and electrical safety regimes for an international charity setting up an online retail shop; and
- carrying out document reviews on high-profile Public Inquiries, as part of specific modules or in response to Rule 9 requests.
