• Merger control: advising Demant in obtaining CMA clearance following a Phase II investigation for the sale of its hearing implants business to Cochlear; advising Skydance Media on obtaining global merger control approvals for its US$28 billion merger with Paramount Global; advising Microsoft on obtaining clearance from the CMA and the European Commission for its US$19.7 billion acquisition of Nuance Communications; advising AllianceBernstein on the formation of a joint venture to form a leading global cash equities and research business with Société Générale; and advising Teleperformance on obtaining global antitrust approvals for its US$3.3 billion acquisition of Majorel.
• Foreign investment: advising Viasat in obtaining foreign investment approvals for its proposed US$7.3 billion acquisition of Inmarsat; advising the Public Investment Fund on its acquisition of a 15% stake in Heathrow Airport; and advising Communications & Power Industries on strategic investment from The Jordan Company.
• Market studies and investigations: advising a digital streaming service in relation to the CMA's market study into music and streaming services.
• Antitrust: advising a sports commercial rights holder in relation to an alleged infringement of competition law.
