Expertise
Nikolaus specialises in corporate law, venture capital and M&A. He advices listed companies, mid-cap companies, private equity and venture capital investors as well as startups on all aspects of corporate law, including domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, financing rounds, corporate reorganisations and joint ventures. Nikolaus also advises on corporate governance and directors’ liability.
Before joining Addleshaw Goddard as part of the team led by partners Dr Nina Leonard and Christian Lang, Nikolaus worked for a renowned international law firm in Munich.
- Experience
- Advising several venture capital investors (including Alpine Space Venture Fund I) on various investments, financing rounds, etc.
- Advised an association in the automotive sector on directors' liability in a data project
- Advising energy sector clients on data centre projects
- Advising an international technology group on the acquisition of two German entities and in a post-M&A conflict
- Education
Nikolaus studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin. After completing his studies with the First State Examination in Berlin, Nikolaus served as a legal trainee at the Higher Regional Court of Munich. He completed his legal training with the Second German State Examination.
Nikolaus worked as a research assistant and legal trainee lawyer for several renowned international law firms during his studies.
