Expertise

Catherine is a legal director in the tax & structuring group and a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. She advises on a wide range of taxation matters, specialising primarily in corporate tax and employment tax.

Catherine's corporate experience includes advising on the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, reorganisations of companies and tax efficient structures for commercial operations. Catherine also has experience in relation to the tax aspects of private equity transactions, including advising in relation to VCT investments, private equity structures and advising management teams and employees on the tax implications of holding shares and/or debt (including the availability of BADR).

Catherine has particular expertise in advising on the tax aspects of renewable energy projects. Catherine also advises on a wide range of employee tax issues, including the tax treatment of remuneration packages.
