EXPERTISE 

James is a Managing Associate in the Commercial Disputes team, where he qualified in September 2017 having trained with the firm.

He has experience of acting on a broad range of disputes, including contractual disputes, claims arising out of competition infringements, and public inquiries.

James' recent experience includes:

  • representing two large construction and utilities companies, in relation to Grenfell Tower, in the criminal investigation, public inquiry and the handling of any civil claims
  • acting as co-counsel for the Road Haulage Association in its proposed collective action before the Competition Appeal Tribunal following the Trucks Cartel
  • defending 'follow on' damages claims brought against the NKT group of companies in the High Court.
