Expertise

Bill is an associate in Addleshaw Goddard's Corporate Finance team. He advises on a wide range of corporate matters including both public and private mergers and acquisitions. Bill has also spent time seconded to the equity investment team at British International Investment plc, the UK's development finance institution.  

Bill's recent transactional experience includes advising: 

• SSE on the creation of its new joint-venture with TotalEnergies called “Source”, which aims to develop a new infrastructure network for ultra-fast EV charging across the UK 
• bp on its equity investment in Hyport Duqm, a green hydrogen project in Oman co-owned DEME group and Omani energy company OQ
• bp on the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary group ONYX Insight, an onshore / offshore wind turbine solutions provider, to Macquarie Capital 
• British International Investment plc on its equity investment into Agristar Holdings (Pty) Limited, a large macadamia producer and processor based in South Africa
• British International Investment plc on the merger of its African B2B e-commerce portfolio company, MAXAB, with Kenya-based Wasoko 
• Rathbones Group Plc on its all share combination with Investec Wealth & Investment Limited
• Belvoir Group plc on its all-share merger with The Property Franchise Group plc 
• Ten major UK banks (including Barclays, HSBC and NatWest) on the creation of Cash Access UK Limited, a joint venture designed to protect access to cash across the UK (Winner - Inhouse/Law Firm Collaboration of the Year, Legal Business Awards 2023 and Highly Commended - FT Innovative Lawyer Awards 2023)
• Rathbones Group Plc on its all-share combination with Investec Wealth & Investment Limited
• Terra Firma on its majority investment in Richborough Estates
