Claire is a Partner in the Commercial Team and specialises in data, security and information law.  

Claire has over 20 years' experience in providing advice in relation to all aspects of sharing, processing and wider use of data, including personal data, advising many global market leaders in relation to the collection, use, included analytics and derived data together with opportunities to monetise that data.  In the digital world the requirements of digital data collection are key areas of concern, combined with the often difficult issue of partners located outside the UK/EEA and the inevitable concerns of international transfers and in particular use of third party CRM platforms, social media use, tracking and profiling data subjects and related ICO investigations and enforcements.  

Claire is included in the ICO "critical reader" groups and sits on the ICO data transfer.   Claire has also been recognised in The Lawyers Hot 100 2020 list for her innovative work in data protection and her advice in a number of high value and significant transactions.

Current experience includes:

• ABF (Twinings) in relation to his procurement and implementation of a new DAB, DAM and CRM globally
• Advising Asda in relation to its reward scheme
• Advising John Lewis in relation to its data analytics platform and strategy
