Expertise
Holly joined the team in 2020 following completion of her training contract with Addleshaw Goddard. Since qualification, Holly has specialised in contentious construction, with experience in large-scale international arbitrations, PFI/PPP projects and onshore/offshore energy projects, from an advisory level through to formal dispute. Holly has also spent time seconded to our Singapore office focused on developing her international expertise.
Holly's experience includes:
- Acting for a state-owned developer in respect of a billion-dollar arbitration concerning the development and construction of a major infrastructure project in the GCC region.
- Acting for an international contractor in two claims in the Technology and Construction Court pertaining to fire safety and cladding defects at UK Hospitals. Holly played a key role in the Court of Appeal proceedings which arose from one of the claims and concerned condition precedents under dispute resolution procedures.
- Acting for an international contractor in respect of a multi-million-dollar dispute concerning the development and construction of a gas plant in the Middle East.
- Advising various project companies on PFI/PPP infrastructure projects throughout the UK with particular focus on issues of contractual interpretation and risk management.
- Acting for an Offshore Transmission Owner in the preliminary stages of a dispute surrounding defective works in an undersea cable.
- Advising a middle eastern entity with regards to contractual disputes surrounding the design, engineering, manufacture and supply of specialist, technical equipment for use in a combined cycle power project in South Asia.
- Advising a project company on a large PFI/PPP infrastructure project regarding defective works pertaining to fire safety.
- Acting for an operation and maintenance contractor in relation to the termination of its contract at a biomass fired energy plant in the UK.
- Advising a major Korean shipbuilder in a dispute relating to the delayed completion of two drillships.
