Iain specialises in supporting clients with digital transformation projects, with a focus on Financial Services, Retail & Consumer and Public Sector. As part of this he advises on a wide range of technology arrangements including software licence and development contracts, business process outsourcing, IT outsourcings, cloud services contracts, in addition to a wide array of other commercial structures. Iain works collaboratively with client's legal and procurement functions to ensure there is a seamless approach in managing and negotiating projects in order to navigate the legal and regulatory challenges.

Iain’s recent experiences include: 

• Top 4 Supermarket: Supporting top 4 UK supermarket in negotiating with its Tier 1 vendors as part of its separation from its legacy IT estate. Specifically focusing on the creation of next generation systems, including licences/subscriptions for core software including CRM and eCommerce, and SI agreements for development of its next generation eCommerce solution handling multi-billion online revenue a year.
• National Infrastructure: Advising National Gas Transmission PLC following it's separation from National Grid with procuring and negotiating new IT managed services, including parallel negotiations with multiple bidders as part of a competitive RFP process. 
• Global Bank: Supporting top 10 global bank with its first generation IT help desk outsourcing. Core focus on supporting with documenting the transition and transformation process, and ensuring appropriate contract levers in charges and service levels to ensure continued tension of contract performance. 
• Leading Utility Provider: Advising Yorkshire Water with the procurement of a new CRM and billing solution, including negotiating licences with blue chip software vendor and putting in place SI agreement for implementation of the new solution. 
• Global Bank: Working with global bank to support it in putting in place the core software licence and resource augmentation contract for the development of a new technology platform for a new FinTech Brand within the bank.
