Expertise
Philippa is a legal director in the banking and finance team, specialising in receivables financing and asset based lending. She heads up the ABL offering in Yorkshire and is one of only a few specialist ABL lawyers in the UK outside of London.
Philippa advises the ABL and invoice finance teams within the main clearing banks, challenger banks, specialist asset-based lending financiers, and also regularly acts for corporate borrowers. She acts on a range of financing transactions, including bilateral, syndicated and cross border deals. Philippa has particular expertise in relation to receivables financing structures, asset based lending facilities, non-recourse structures and selective receivables products.
Recent experience includes:
- advising Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance on the rewriting of their factoring and invoice finance documentation suite
- advising Cooper Turner Beck on their £88m ABL and cash flow facilities provided by BZ
- advising HSBC Invoice Finance on their £50m ABL facility for the Sykes Seafood Group
- acting for an asset and energy support services group in relation to their £30m factoring arrangements with Factofrance
- acting for one of the largest clearing banks in relation to their receivables purchase and trade finance facilities for a large toy retailer
