Donna Newton is a Managing Associate at Addleshaw Goddard specialising in Data Protection. Donna advises a wide range of clients in varying sectors in relation to data protection laws.

Donna has extensive experience advising on data audits and compliance programs including:

• advising a number of UK based and international organisations in respect of the UK GDPR, including carrying out audits and assisting businesses in privacy compliance. This includes strategic commercial advice and the project management of advice from a number of European and international jurisdictions and remediation work such as the preparation of UK & EU GDPR compliant clauses for inclusion in standard supply contracts, privacy and retention policies, impact assessment's, marketing consents and website policies and notices; 
• advising household names in relation to data subject access requests and data security breaches; and
• advising an energy and services company on a supplier audit, questionnaire and review of responses in respect of such supplier’s data protection compliance and consequent risk analysis exercise on behalf of the client.
