Gorvinder Pannu is a Partner in our Middle East employment practice, based in Muscat. She is an experienced employment lawyer with more than 25 years of practice, including 17 years in the Middle East. She was awarded the Employment Lawyer of the Year Award by LexisNexis Women In Law Awards 2023. Gorvinder is a member of the global Employment Lawyers Alliance.

Gorvinder's recent experience includes:
- advising employers on legislative changes, including the new Oman Labour, Personal Data Privacy Law and Social Protection Law and drafting variations to contract terms and HR policies
- advising a US company on steps following a data security breach to employees' data in Oman
- conducting an independent investigation into sexual harassment allegations filed against a senior executive of an international petrochemicals company and subsequently advising on disciplinary action under Oman Labour Law
- advising a national telecoms company on the employee aspects of a potential acquisition of a mobile telecoms company, including undertaking employment due diligence
- advising a power company on the statutory transfer of employees following termination of an O&M contract, including statutory notifications to the Ministry of Labour.
