Jonathan joined AG LLP's pensions team in 2000 and has specialised in trustee advisory and independent trustee work since then.

Jonathan is the managing director of our independent pension trustee business Sovereign Trustees Limited (STL) and has been responsible for the day to day management of STL and its appointments since its incorporation in 2001. Jonathan therefore has long standing experience of acting as an independent trustee director and/or chair of trustee boards and has carried out that role for a wide range of pension schemes of varying size and in different circumstances.

As a Legal Director in AG LLP's pensions team, Jonathan also advises a range of trustee and employer clients on all aspects of pensions law. However he has particular expertise advising pension scheme trustees on scheme governance, tPR compliance, trust administration, risk management, member communications, and contentious matters such as member disputes, Pension Ombudsman complaints and court litigation.
