Joe is a Partner in the Construction, Engineering and Environment Group.

With over 20 years' experience in the resolution of construction and engineering disputes, Joe is a specialist in design liability claims against contractors and professionals.  Joe also spends a proportion of his time advising clients on avoiding disputes and leads the AG Managing Risk service on major construction and engineering projects. Where disputes cannot be avoided, he is a specialist in adjudication, mediation and litigation.

His experience ranges from acting in the Court of Appeal on the leading case on "pay when paid" clauses; multi million pound international arbitration proceedings concerning the baggage handling system at Doha International Airport; High Court litigation regarding major defects in the tallest building in Yorkshire; representing a FTSE 100 infrastructure provider in serial adjudication proceedings in multi million pound disputed compensation event claims from JV contractors; through to leading on cladding and fire safety matters across a number of multi billion pound property portfolios.
