Retail banking is evolving at pace
As banks respond to myriad (and sometimes conflicting) demands of customers, regulators and investors, while finding ways to capitalize on tech innovations, they need their advisors to be able to combine strong technical expertise, deep sector experience, the confidence to imagine new possibilities and the focus to deliver swiftly and successfully.
We know all too well how challenging it is for banks when they are pursuing new strategic objectives while managing their existing businesses. Not only do we we work with banks on customer-facing lending and recoveries activities but also the full range of strategic activities, including their transformation projects.
We've supported banks with numerous transformation projects as they review their tech stack, rethink their use of data and tech, develop their products and services or effect operational change to implement new regulation. Our lawyers are active in working groups with UK Finance and HM Treasury as they consider the establishment of a UK central bank digital currency. We are also active in HM Treasury's working group on post Brexit consumer regulation.
