Research Report: Alignment between in-house legal teams and executives

There has never been a better time, or perhaps a bigger imperative, for in-house Legal functions to be strategically impactful. So we set out to understand the alignment between senior lawyers and Executives at large and very large listed and private companies. Interviewing over 60 business leaders and 58 GCs and Senior Counsel, we sought to better appreciate how Legal functions seek to build strategic influence, and to test Executive perceptions of Legal… How does the Board see Legal? And how does Legal see itself?

Among many other findings, we revealed a strong appetite on all sides for more Legal function involvement in strategic projects.
